The Zamboni Ride Returns On A Monday Morning

Avalanche 3, Wild 1

It was the Ryan Smyth and Joe Sakic show in Denver yesterday. On the same day the Rockies got their asses swept (Momentum is a bitch) the Colorado Avalanche improved to 7-4-0 as they hope to make the playoffs before the last day of the season. Peter Budaj improved to 5-2 on the season and probably gets favorable glances from all the sexy ladies in the crowd.

Oilers 3, Ducks 2, SO

Mathieu Garon stopped 31 shots and got the Shootout victory for Edmonton. That wasn’t the highlight of his day though. Yesterday afternoon Garon finally defeated Super Mario Brothers. Beating the Mighty Ducks = Icing on the cake.

Red Wings 3, Canucks 2

Young man, Jiri Hudler scored the game winner late in the second and old man Chris Osgood stopped 27 shots in the Detroit win. Osgood then yelled at Hudler to keep “that damn hip-hop music down!” before teammates told him that it was actually the Vancouver crowd booing.
