Wait! Something happened to Sean Taylor?

Why didn't someone say something?

Here I am ready to watch some playoff football whilst I blog for The Big Lead and I'm just now finding out about this Sean Taylor thing?

I really wish someone had said something.

Starting Saturday morning (around 10:30-11 o'clockish) I'll be doing the weekend shift at The Big Lead. Feel free to stop by and comment.

Please Stand By For Something (LINK UP)

Welp, the realization that I'm going to have to use Wordpress, Blogger's younger, cooler, more sophisticated cousin when I blog for TBL, so I'll be creating a "practice blog" over there over the next few days. Once I have anything up, I'll put a link here so you can come laugh at my inadequacies and such.

I will note that both my boys - Pascal Leclaire and Henrik Lundqvist - suffered L's last night. (Shit!)

Also, it's bowling night, so I'm in a good mood. Maybe I'll rip apart Juno! (Just kidding - mostly)

Back when there's a link to link to...

Here's where I'll be working for the next week or so so I can fully understand the intricacies of WP.

The Big Announcement

Ready for The Big News?
Starting this weekend, The Big Lead is bringing on two weekend bloggers to cover the happenings in the sporting world. So what, right? Wrong -

I'm one of them.

The other is Patrick Imig from JoeSportsFan.com if you're into baseball cards or mustaches or other funny stuff.

Anyway, every other weekend you can catch me at TBL trying not to steal everything I write from whoever is on the weekend post at Deadspin. And to help me with that send along anything semi-sports-related to me at alumnigonzo at gmail dot com.

And don't worry - I swear I'll ignore this site just as much as I do already!

Happy Drew Year (Ha ha ha, I watched ION on New Year's Eve!)

Happy New Year people! Look alive! It's 2008. How exciting is that? Who say Kid Rock and Rev Run perform the other night? Breathtaking. Am I right?

As I sat through Tila Tequilla's Shot at Date Rape I thought about how much fun I had in 2007. It was just magical. Until now 2007 was the only year where CRM existed. In fact we're fast approaching the one year birthday/anniversary (January 30).

What a long strange trip it's been. I didn't even know how to make a link look nice back then. Sheesh. How embarrassing. No wonder Lauren went to Europe for a year.

I'll be changing the masthead (banner - whatever it's called) soon since the holidays are over. Well all the holidays except Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I'll put the Christmas banner back up on the 21st to honor the day off.

Oh yeah, there will be a big announcement later today...

Yes, an actual announcement. And it has nothing to do with car insurance.

I will just say that I'm extremely excited.

Until then you'll just have to live with this sweet picture from yesterday's Winter Classic.
According to a reliable source the hype surrounding this game in the Buffalo area was like last year's playoff expectations magnified by a single game and multiplied by a factorial of some infinite number. Ticket sales were solid and cost anywhere from $10 to "more money than your fucking car's worth, bro."
